1 Peter 2:20–21 (NIV)
“But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.”
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
We thank You for sending our Savior to walk among us and for the grace to follow in His steps even today. In a world filled with uncertainty, we hold fast to Your will, trusting in Your sovereign rule and the promise of Your coming kingdom.
You are Almighty God—faithful and true—and we ask that Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Fulfill every promise spoken by Your Word. Though Your kingdom may now be embraced by only a few, we believe that, by Your power, hearts will be transformed and Your name glorified among the nations.
Thank You for giving us the hope that anchors our souls. Stay near to us in all our labors, that we may serve You with purpose and joy. In every trial, deepen our longing for the return of Christ and the full establishment of Your kingdom.
Be with us through the night. Let Your goodness, mercy, and faithfulness cover us. In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.
