“The sun will no longer be your light by day,
nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you,
for the Lord will be your everlasting light,
and your God will be your glory.”
— Isaiah 60:19 (NIV)
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
We thank You that in the midst of the world’s darkness and sorrow,
You have caused the light of hope to rise —
a light that shines upon all who honor Your name,
and all who abide in Christ Jesus
through the forgiveness of sins and the power of the resurrection.
We lift our hearts in praise:
Glory to Your Holy Name.
Glory to Jesus Christ, our Savior.
Glory to the Holy Spirit, our Comforter, Teacher, and Guide.
O Father in heaven,
Words can never fully express our gratitude
for making us a people filled with grace,
anchored in hope,
and confident in the promise of Your coming Kingdom —
a Kingdom of salvation and everlasting peace for all nations.
Amen.
